Engineering students of 4th/6th semester of various Pvt. & Govt. engineering colleges are sent to National CPWD Academy for 4/6 weeks field training on ongoing projects as per requirement of their curriculum to get exposure of on-site working as well as to go through the technical documents related to a project work like Agreement, Drawings, Measurement Books etc. At the end of the training, a certificate is issued to the student regarding successful completion of the field training programme.

To apply for this field training, the competent authority of the institute has to send a letter to Chief Engineer (Trg) Civil recommending the name of the student for the training mentioning the semester and duration of training (4/6 weeks). The academy provides training for 4 & 6 weeks to the students of 4th & 6th semester only.
