E&M Services - There are 34 different E&M services in the building. All the systems of the STPI are IP based and are scheduled, monitored and controlled through highly advanced BMS system. Each ACB & MCCBs of the building can be controlled as well as monitored for energy management and power quality. For indoor air quality CO2 & CO sensors have been installed.BTU meters, water meters, smart meters has been installed at every place to monitor energy consumption of the incubatees.

2

Energy Conservation - The project has employed the following energy efficiency strategies: Use of AAC blocks for building envelope. Under-deck insulation for the roof and covering of entire roof with solar panels. Highly efficient Screw chillers with VFD to cater to part-load on cooling system. Chilled Water and heating Water pumps with VFD controls. LED lighting with LPD value of 0.6 W/ft2 with individual control and monitoring system. Day-light sensors in the office areas and motion sensors in the corridors and toilet areas. BMS for monitoring real-time building performance The above strategies have helped to reduce the building energy consumption by more than 40% over ECBC baseline

3

Water Conservation - The project has been designed to conserve water and some of the salient features are: Use of low-flow fixtures. Duel flushing system . Sensor based urinals. 25 KLD STP for recycling water for toilet flushing and irrigation. For irrigating the landscape, drip irrigation has been employed to reduce irrigation water demand by 60%. The storm water drainage system has been designed for ZERO disposal of storm water from site (30 m3 of recharge pit has been functional) The above strategies have helped to reduce the building water demand by 72.72% 60 nos. of Ashoka trees (native trees) have been planted along the plot boundary

4

Others Features - i) Access Contral. ii) Face Recogination for Access Control. iii)TTA LT Panel with hot swappable switches and control & monitring through ethernet gateway. iv) Gas Based Extinguishing system. v) Exit signs and emergency lights with supercapacitor backup and wireleass control. vi) Stack parking.

Lighting & Controls -

Highly efficient dimmable LED fixtures alongwith occupancy & Light sensors(for daylight harvesting) has been judiciously used.  Lighting of the building is 60 % more efficient then what ECBC prescribes. All the lights of the building can be Dimmed, Controlled,  monitored, scheduled through IPAD/Smart phones. Tunable/Dimmable LED Fixtures has been used for human circadian centric lighting.

2

Building Management System -

Control, Monitoring, Scheduling of Complete Air Conditioning System

  • Control, Monitoring, Scheduling of Ventilation Equipment.
  • Control and Monitoring of Electrical System.
  • Monitoring of all Pumping Systems.
  • Monitoring of D G Sets.
  • Monitoring of Electrical Panels.
  • Monitoring of all Lifts.

With this potential of reduction in CO2 emission in one building alone, the quantum of nationwide reduction in CO2 emission by CPWD   is only a matter of great national assertion towards a green India.
